Scholarship Applications

Helping the Homeless College Scholarship Awards Program is designed to highlight the incredible potential of Colorado’s young people as well as the challenges which prevent too many of them from succeeding. Helping the Homeless Colorado awards multiple, $1,000 scholarships to college-bound Colorado public high school seniors who have shown incredible performance in high school by succeeding in school despite daunting obstacles.

Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA Unweighted, have succeeded in spite of hardships such as poverty or homelessness, and have participated in activities that are helpful to others. Financial need must be demonstrated as well. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

Applicants will be asked to write an essay, receive a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, and for their high school transcript. The selection process is very strict and the committee will be looking for individuals who have excelled and shown their willingness to put in hard work. If you are selected you will be notified and you may be asked to come in for an interview. If you are not selected you will be notified by email.

Your application MUST be done online (form below). If this cannot happen for you please contact us. Your application will be reviewed by a selected committee. Your endorsers will be contacted personally along with your school. Please make sure all of the information you provide is correct. Applications with incorrect information will be removed from the process.

Applications are due by April 20, 2019. All external documents must be mailed in by this date as well. Anything that is received after this date will be removed from the selection process. There are no extensions under any circumstances unless notified by Helping the Homeless Colorado. Thank you for applying and best of luck to you!
