Helping the Homeless Scholarship Awards Program is designed to highlight the incredible potential of Colorado's young people as well as the challenges which prevent too many of them from succeeding. Helping the Homeless Colorado awards multiple, $1,000 scholarships to higher education-bound, Colorado public high school seniors who have shown incredible performance in high school by succeeding in school despite daunting obstacles. Our program also supports individuals who are seeking to attain a higher level of education.
The committee will be looking for individuals who have excelled and shown their willingness to put in hard work considering their circumstances. If you are selected you will be notified and you may be asked to come in for an interview. If you are not selected you will be notified as well. Students should have:
1) A minimum unweighted GPA of 2.0
2) Have succeeded in spite of hardships such as poverty or homelessness
3) Have participated in activities that are helpful to others.

Applicants will be asked to write multiple essays, provide a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, provide their official high school transcript, and proof of their household income Please note: Your endorsers will be contacted personally along with your school.
